Where has all the Customer Service gone?

Tonight, it’s Friday. I’ve worked my 40 hours, put in my time, and served the people I support with respect and dedication they deserve. In turn, I feel it’s time for a little R&R, right? Going out to dinner sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately, at one particular establishment, which will remain nameless, but will be linked, didn’t feel like putting in the work. So I suffer. One for the road.

Yet another bit of writing I did a while back for an idea I had for a book. The Characters were to be derived from others I had played or had played with via some form of MMORPG or other. This (incredibly) short story was written in response to a contest being held by a band I enjoy immensely: Elvenking. Based on a song off their first album, Heathenreel, called “The Regality Dance”, I don’t really have a title for this particular story. I had a great time writing this one, was able to imagine the scene vividly, and pulled more influence from The Forgotten Relams’ stories involving Eilistraee and the surface drow, who I have become enamoured with through books written by amazing authors. Without further ado here:
